Instructors' Credentials

South Winnipeg Kinderschule is licensed by the Province of Manitoba, Family Services and Housing Department. We are also registered with the Province's Child Day Care Program, called the Licensed Child Care Search (LCCS).

Our bilingual instructors have impressive backgrounds and we look forward to profiling them here soon.

Roswitha Scharf-Dessureault
Roswitha Scharf-Dessureault continues to pour her considerable energies into Kinderschule for this her fourth year with us. Roswitha’s background as a successful businesswoman gives her a desire for perfection which she applies to her new vocation; she also brings in a rich cultural background and connections with the German and Austrian communities in Winnipeg which she is able to share with the children. Roswitha is well-loved by all the children and she continues to surprise everyone with her great ideas and educational ideas. More recently, she has taken a number of courses to the benefit of Kinderschule and the children, ranging from curriculum development to teaching techniques.

Abigail Hughes
We are happy to welcome Abigail Hughes as a new teacher at Kinderschule this year. She is currently studying German at the University of Manitoba and pursuing Early Childhood Educator (ECE) training. She has taken English second language training, having obtained a special certificate for teaching children, and is now applying these skills in the opposite direction as a member of the team at Kinderschule.
