Updated Calendar

We are excited to maintain this Google calendar on this web site. We will try to include not only regular classes and upcoming Kinderschule events, but events within the local German calendar. Of course we will continue to communicate special dates through our newsletters.

If you would like to post a special event in the above calendar, drop off a note with the details to us or send us an email message. If you would like to share information by email, we still encourage you to join our email group. Once you join this group, there is another web calendar where you can submit and view dates.

General Calendar

At South Winnipeg Kinderschule, we weave an exciting and stimulating list of activities and exploring linked with seasonal, cultural and developmental connections. We introduce the children (and families) to many lovely traditions of the Germanic culture they might not otherwise experience. Even children with no previous experience with German language or culture find this new things very fun, and look forward to the celebrations such as Laternenfest, St. Martinstag and of course Nikolaus.

Daily Schedule

A typical day at Kinderschule starts with some crafts and playtime, followed by Kreiszeit, or Circle Time where the day takes on more of a group focus. Here the children learn a new topic, vocabulary and themes through enjoyable methods including singing, games and interaction with the teacher and one another.
